The war thats going on
between my heart and head
The terror of
what came to light
And the sorrow
of the consequence
To be closer
than I've ever known
And then
farther apart than strangers
To be happier
than thought possible
Then more sorrow
then has ever been known
And what can I do to ease this pain?
ones mind can think of nothing
The heart says run to him
but reason stops you in your tracks
Who is it that wins this war inside?
for it cannot be me
But I will be the one to wear
the scars left behind [comments] => 2 [counter] => 169 [topic] => 75 [informant] => lovestruck [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => anguished ) Your Poetry Dot Com - Between my heart and head

Confusion,
The war thats going on
between my heart and head
The terror of
what came to light
And the sorrow
of the consequence
To be closer
than I've ever known
And then
farther apart than strangers
To be happier
than thought possible
Then more sorrow
then has ever been known
And what can I do to ease this pain?
ones mind can think of nothing
The heart says run to him
but reason stops you in your tracks
Who is it that wins this war inside?
for it cannot be me
But I will be the one to wear
the scars left behind
